South Downs Maps

My maps of the South Downs have been a long time in coming, but I am pleased to say that August 2024 I am able to bring them to market.

There are two versions of the map available; one of the national park as a whole and the other showing the portions of the different counties that make up the national park. East and West Sussex and Hampshire.

Long distance walking routes are plotted on the map including the South Downs Way, which is slightly bolder than the rest. Others include the Sussex Border Path, Serpent Trail, West Sussex Literary Trail and the Downs Link.

All the other details I pack my main maps with are present from civil parish borders and labels, woods, parks and golf courses, hill shading and hill tops with elevations, rivers, road and rail network with station labels and military areas, airstrips, lighthouses and RNLI stations.

There is also a researched Sites of Significant Historical and Cultural Interest reference section including places from Beachy Head to Charleston House and Sussex County Cricket Club.

South Downs Mini Maps

The main maps are large and packed full of detail, but as an alternative the maps have been redesigned as part of my mini map series. There is a lot less detail in the maps to make them work at smaller sizes but they are still elegant, charming maps.

Much of the minor labelling of woods and hill tops is lost, with only major geographic features maintained. The South Downs Way is maintained but the rest of the walking routes are removed. All the civil parish borders and labels are also lost.

The Sites of Significant Historical and Cultural Interest are also lost.
