Somerset Maps

Year of Design - 2020

Four versions of the Somerset map are now available. An original version with the districts and unitary authorities which also now has an 'autumnal' version. There is also a map of Somerset as a whole without unitary authorities or districts

Somerset changed its administrational boundaries in 2023 so another map was made to reflect that too.

Details on the map

The delicately applied hill shading brings the landscape of Somerset alive, from the Mendips and Exmoor National Park to the Somerset Levels.

An effort is made it apply every place name along with all civil parish borders and labels, hilltops, parks and woods.

There is a complete road and rail network with station and line labels.

Long distance walking routes are plotted and labelled on the map including the West Dene Way, Limestone Link, West Mendip Way, Monarch's Way, Quantock Greenway and Macmillan Way.

Sites of significant historical & cultural interest are also plotted on the maps complete with reference sections.

The walking routes and 'sites of significant historical and cultural interest' are also removed
