Herefordshire Maps

Year of Design - 2021

Herefordshire, a proper rural English county, is a neighbour of mine in Gloucestershire, but I barely knew it as it's tucked away behind the M5 and rarely ventured into. A fabulous landscape across the welsh marches got me excited to do this map and learn about my neglected neighbour. I discovered a deep and influential history with a distinct and colourful culture.

Details on the map

A great topography in Herefordshire lends itself well to making a beautiful map with hill shading elegantly applied across the map to express the rich and varied landscape.

A complete road and rail network together with station and line labels with woodland, moorland, civil parish borders and labels, parkland, golf courses, military areas, hilltops, rivers and streams are all included.

Long distance walking routes are plotted and labelled, including the Wye Valley Walk, Offa's Dyke Trail, Black and White Village Trail and Brecon Beacons Trail.

Sites of Significant Historical and Cultural Interest are also plotted on the map complete with reference section including, Wigmore Castle, Eye Manor, Arthur's Stone, Croft Castle, Herefordshire Cider, Ledbury Park and Hereford Cathedral to name but a few.

Herefordshire Mini Maps

My Herefordshire map has also been re-designed for the mini map series with less detail. The walking routes have been removed along with the civil parish borders and labels and there are no 'sites of significant historical and cultural interest' in smaller print sizes

Three map sizes available

Large: A2 - 59.4 x 42 cm

Medium: B3 - 50 x 35.3 cm

Small: A3 - 42 x 29.7 cm
